More Than Just Another Place to Stay

The Inn at Cross Keys Station is a newly constructed three-story, 72-room hotel located at the northern end of Madras along U.S. Highway 26, just across from Safeway.  We strive to create an environment conducive to comfort and relaxation.  In honor of that pursuit, we accommodate guests with a number of amenities, including an indoor pool and hot tub area, exercise room, outdoor patio, and business center.  In addition, free wireless access and breakfast services are provided.  We are also extremely excited to offer a 200-person conference room, perfectly suited to meet the diverse needs of a variety of organizations.

The décor and ambience of the hotel present a mix of past and present, and will make your stay with us everything but ordinary.  Upon entering the lobby of Cross Keys Station, guests will find themselves surrounded by memorabilia reminiscent of the early 1900s, a time when area locals made a living growing alfalfa, raising cattle, and shepherding sheep.  Indeed, Cross Keys and Madras share a unique history.  Located approximately 20 miles north of Madras along U.S. Highway 97, Cross Keys acted as a stage stop for a stage coach line linking Shaniko to Bend, hosting its first coach in January, 1907.  The site was originally the home of the Bolter family, pioneers to the Central Oregon area.

Today the site has changed names and is referred to as Willowdale.  However, the tradition that the initial Cross Keys Station began as a place for weary stage coach travelers to stop and rest before continuing their travels has been carried on by the Inn at Cross Keys Station.  We attempt to offer a pleasant and hospitable atmosphere for guests in the 21st century, just as the original Cross Keys Station did in the early 20th century.  Our logo, two keys crossed, represents our relentless pursuit to unlock the desires and needs of our guests.
